The page ladder

How to use the page ladder

The page ladder is where you organize the pages in your book.  It consists of low resolution thumbnails of your pages, and offers you the ability to manipulate the order of your pages, as well as add and delete pages.

Add Pages

Add pages to your book at the click of a button!

Click the Add Pages button in the nav bar to add one or more new, blank pages to your book, up to a maximum of 200 pages.

Note:  Some publishers restrict the ability to add pages.  If your 'Add Pages' button is dim, you will need to contact your publisher to have pages added to the book.

After clicking the Add Pages button, you will be shown the dialog pictured at right. The thumbnails at the left and right of the window illustrate which of your already existing pages will come to the left and right of your new pages (in the center).  You can move through the book in order to determine exactly where your new page(s) should be placed.

Add_Pages_1.png Moves you all the way to the beginning of your book.  This is useful if you want to add pages to the beginning of your book.

Add_Pages_2.png  Moves you all the way to the end of your book.  This is useful if you want to add pages to the end of your book.

Add_Pages_3.png  Moves back one page.  This is useful if you want to add pages somewhere in the middle of your book.

Add_Pages_4.png  Moves forward one page.  This is useful if you want to add pages somewhere in the middle of your book.

Number of pages:  Enter how many pages you would like to add.  Remember that there is a maximum page count of 200.

Insert at page:  Manually enter which page you want the new page(s) to start at.  This can be faster than looking through the thumbnails.

OK:  Add the pages based on the information specified above.

Cancel:  Cancel, return to the page ladder without adding any pages.
